The tide at Key West

Key West's tide is small and strange — the Atlantic and the Gulf arrive on different schedules, and the flats read the difference.

What the water does here

Key West runs two highs and two lows a day, near enough evenly spaced. Between low and high the water moves about 1.3 feet, averaged across a week of predictions.

A Wavepane on the wall shows that as a picture rather than a table: the water sits where the water sits, and the wave on top grows or flattens with the swell outside. It wakes every half hour, redraws, and goes back to sleep. Nothing to open, nothing to check.
